Head Coach Terrill Outhwaite
Volleyball
July 24 - July 30 2011 (Week 2)

Terrill Outhwaite was a two-sport all-star during his university days.
During his nine years associated with the Legion Athletic Camp as a coach, he has displayed the same dedication and qualities that made him a champion.
Outhwaite attended Victorias Mount Douglas Senior Secondary High School in British Columbia where he earned provincial all-star or MVP status in basketball, track and field and volleyball. Along with the individual status came several provincial and Island championships.
He was also on the B.C. provincial volleyball team for five consecutive years.
Atending the University of Manitoba, Outhwaite was the starting setter for the Bison men's volleyball program. A winning program, which included a 1996 national title. He was also a member of the track and field team where he was ranked one of Canadas premier shot putters.
Outhwaite also took his power game onto the Beach Pro Volleyball scene winning two-man junior nationals in 1997.
He now teaches and coaches in Selkirk.
A competitor in Scottish Heavy Games, Outhwaite has coached both track and field and volleyball at the Legion Athletic Camp. He is a NCCP Level II coach.
Of his experience and introduction to the camp he says: "I really like the idea that the kids get to live out here and it is not just a day camp in a city. The Peace Gardens is a beautiful place and a great environment for the kids to get a high level of coaching.
"But what I really notice about the camp and its effects on kids, is that when you take your high school teams on tournaments around the province, the kids will know other kids on other teams
