Stephen Tackie has been involved with the Manitoba basketball both as a head and an assistant coach at a variety of levels. In 2005, he began working as an assistant with Dave Crook and the University of Winnipeg Wesmen men's basketball program and has been for the last two seasons. He is also involved as one of the Manitoba coaches in the boys Centre for Performance Program. Steve is very active in the summer basketball camp circuit with involvement with the Wesmen, Providence College, Athletes in Action, Brandon University, Rocky Mountain in Alberta and the Boston Celtics summer camp in Boston, Mass.Currently, he is the head coach of the Junior Varsity Boys program (since 1996) at Sturgeon Heights Collegiate, where he also has been a teacher since 2002. This is Coach Tackie's year as head coach at the Legion Athletic Camp.
