Darren Johnson lives by that motto. For not only is he the Director of Athletics at St. John's-Ravenscourt School, he is also the head coach for their varsity boys' basketball team, the basketball convenor for South Central Athletic Conference (Zone 2 of MHSAA), and an assistant coach for the University of Manitoba Bison's men's varsity team.
He has led his teams to countless honours over the last 20 years while coaching athletes, from Junior High to University, in
Johnson has had a nine-year association with the Legion Athletic Camp - two as a past athlete two as an assistant coach and the last four in the role of head coach.
"What is great about the Legion Athletic Camp, is the coaches get to spend so much time during the week developing both the basketball and interpersonal skills of their athletes. It is amazing to watch the players progress during the week. They leave with the ability to take their game to the next level. They also forge friendships that can last a lifetime."
